The Beach
North Myrtle Beach is a very family-friendly beach. There are numerous entrances for the public to access the beach and all oceanfront condominiums have private beach access for their guests. You will appreciate the convenience of your oceanfront condominium when you want to run from the beach back up to your vacation rental to grab a snack. The wide beaches of Windy Hill offer plenty of room for families to spread out and enjoy the Carolina sunshine.
Water Sports
Just north of Windy Hill is Cherry Grove, a unique area in North Myrtle Beach with access to a salt water marsh. Locals and visitors alike enjoy fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding and boating through the inlet. There are plenty of charter fishing tours, casino boats and water sport instructors who would be happy to teach you more about the area and how to make the most of your inlet experience.
If you prefer to spend your time in the ocean, you may want to rent a jet ski or try parasailing. Perhaps you would like to take up surfing – local instructors will have you standing up on your board in no time. A popular attraction in Cherry Grove is the fishing pier at the Prince Resort. For a small fee, you may spend the day fishing from the pier where record-breaking catches were made. Try your hand at catching dinner from the pier.
Amusements
Delight children of all ages with a trip to Alligator Adventure at Barefoot Landing. This reptile zoo is home to exotic animals. Watch feedings and live shows featuring the animals and their trainers. During the summer months, visit the O.D. Pavilion, a collection of amusement rides and games near Main Street in North Myrtle Beach. Drive a few miles south of Crescent Beach to Family Kingdom, an oceanfront amusement park in Myrtle Beach. Thrill rides are everywhere along the beach.

North Myrtle Beach has countless restaurants. From nationally recognized chains to local eateries, you will find something to meet everyone's tastes and budget. Between North Myrtle Beach and Myrtle Beach, you will find the famed Restaurant Row. If none of the restaurants on this stretch of Highway 17 sound appealing, you must not be hungry! A favorite activity on a North Myrtle Beach vacation is shopping. With beachware shops on every corner and boutiques lining Ocean Drive, you can shop until you drop. Head down the road a few miles and you will discover Dolly Parton's Pirates Voyage, a dinner theatre children and adults will enjoy. Next door is The Carolina Opry, featuring renowned artists. In Myrtle Beach, guests will enjoy Medieval Times dinner theatre and Legends in Concert musical show.
